This business has been a well established antique gas stove restoration business since 1990, specializing in complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration of heirloom gas stoves - Chambers (called Rolls Royce of stoves), O'Keefe and Merritt (considered Cadillac of stoves), Magic Chef, Tappan, Roper as well as many other brands, originating from 1900 to 1960's. The company also restores antique gas heaters, antique refrigerators as well as operating a now very successful mail order stove parts business via the Internet. In addition, seasonal sales of firewood, boiled peanuts, and hot tamales are high and add to the uniqueness of this enterprise, and a section of the store is devoted to old European china, linens, and knickknacks. The owner supervises two trained stove mechanics, two apprentices, as well as hands on when work demands. Restoration work are carried out on the premises, which is located on a major busy hwy. next to a truck stop and casino.
